Last weekend’s Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Raceway marked the third week of the DIRECTV Head2Head Knockout competition. Brad Keselowski, Jeff Gordon, Clint Bowyer and Matt Kenseth secured a seat in the Fastest Four leading into the competition’s finale this weekend at Bristol. Each driver earned an additional $25,000 for his charity totaling $39,375 for each of the Fastest Four driver’s charity of choice. Drivers will accrue a total of $400,000 for charity in the DIRECTV Head2Head Knockout while one fan will win a new truck from the manufacturer of the winning driver.

So far, $240,000 in charitable donations have been earned by the field of 32 NASCAR Sprint Cup SeriesTM drivers making up the DIRECTV Head2Head Knockout competition.
Gordon surpassed Edwards due to mechanical difficulties in the #99 Ford. Edwards was forced to the garage at lap 35 and finished the race 26 laps down.
Allmendinger and Kenseth battled for their DIRECTV Head2Head position until the checkered flag. Kenseth finished just ahead of Allmendinger in 10th position.
Keselowski’s top-five winning streak continued in Michigan. The #2 of Keselowski up-rooted Harvick in the competition.
