Newberry more races on tap:

NCWTS rookie Brennan Newberry and his #14 NTS Motorsports team seeks to “one up” their performance at Martinsville where Newberry qualified a respectable 19th and was running as high as 14th prior to getting caught up in a traffic jam accident, finishing 28th respectfully. NTS Motorsports, the new team owned/operated by Brennan’s dad Bob Newberry is anything but new to racing. Bob, a former racer himself has been running the largest race team on the west coast for several seasons and has tapped veteran team manager Gary Collins, also of Bakersfield, to build the new team around Brennan. Crew Chief for the #14 is former RCR NNS Crew Chief, Dan Deeringhoff. NTS is using power from Hendrick Motorsports. The Newberry’s and Collins all come from Bakersfield, CA which has produced several NASCAR regulars including Kevin Harvick and Casey Mears just to name a few. Collins also was mentor to Harvick and built the first “NASCAR Supertruck”, now known as NASCAR Camping World Trucks. Newberry and the team are scheduled to run a total of fifteen races [possibly more] in 2012.(NTS Motorsports PR)(4-12-2012)
