Valvoline NextGen to sponsor Mears for two races:

Saturday nights NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kentucky Speedway extends the teams relationship with Valvoline, a brand of Ashland Inc., to four seasons as driver Casey Mears will wheel the #13 Valvoline NextGen Ford Fusion for 400.5 miles in the Greater Cincinnati area venue. ‘Promoting Valvoline NextGen recycled oil products to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series fans is a great opportunity to reach the do-it-yourself community. On the other hand, if the drivers in the Kentucky Speedway grandstands dont want to change their own oil, Valvoline NextGen is a blend of recycled oil that can be requested at many oil change service centers’ said Bob Germain Jr., Germain Racing team owner. Germain Racings normally blue and green #13 Ford Fusion that typically bears the familiar gecko alongside the GEICO logo, shifts its stripes and colors to showcase the Valvoline NextGen paint scheme at Ashland Inc.s hometown race track, Kentucky Speedway, on Saturday night, and will do so again at Michigan International Speedway in August. ‘Valvoline has supported Germain Racing for many years and Im glad to be part of promoting the Valvoline NextGen brand to the Sprint Cup Series fans. Well be running the Valvoline NextGen Ford Fusion at Kentucky and again at Michigan, tracks where we look forward to good results’ said Mears. ‘The NextGen oil is 50-percent recycled. Its specially engineered for todays hotter running engines as well as a green product to help our environment.”( Germain Racing ), see an image of the scheme on the #13 Team Schemes page .
