Ryan Ellis will be starting the 2014 season off with a two day test of Rick Ware Racing’s, NASCAR Nationwide Series, Chevy Camaros at Daytona International Raceway on January 11 and 12. The test is part of a broader agreement where Ellis anticipates a substantial 2014 NNS program with RWR under a sponsorship agreement to be announced soon. The 24 year old Virginian impressed many observers last season when, after years of Professional Road Racing, he made an unexpected late-season jump into the Nationwide series. Ellis won the 2011 Grand Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series, (CTSCC) race at Daytona, breaking the existing qualifying track record and leading every race lap in the process. He was the fastest CTSCC qualifier at Daytona again last year as well. But since those races were held on Daytona’s infield road course, this NNS test weekend will be his first laps using all four of Daytona’s storied high banks.(Ellis PR)
