Coming off an impressive NASCAR Nationwide Series debut just over a month ago, 18-year-old Erik Jones will make his second career start behind the wheel of the #20 Reser’s Main St. Bistro Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing in Friday night’s Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. In his NNS debut at Chicagoland Speedway in July, Jones qualified fourth, led two laps and ended the day with a solid seventh-place finish. In addition to his three-race schedule behind the wheel of JGR’s #20 Nationwide Series entry, Jones has completed six of 12 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ starts on his schedule in the #51 Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports.(JGR)(8-19-2014)
