For the first time this season, Denny Hamlin will climb behind the wheel of the #20 Sport Clips Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series competing at Chicagoland Speedway in Saturday’s Jimmy John’s Freaky Fast 300. Hamlin has four previous starts at Chicagoland Speedway in the Nationwide Series with his last start coming in 2008. In those four starts, Hamlin has one top-five finish, two top-10 finishes, one pole (2007), an average start of 16.2 and average finish of 9.5. He has led 22 laps and completed 100 percent of laps attempted (800 of 800 laps). In addition to this weekend’s Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway, Sport Clips has adorned the sides of Hamlin’s #11 Camry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series two times this season.(Joe Gibbs Racing)(9-10-2014)
