Phoenix International Raceway announced that Axalta Coating Systems will be recognized as the title sponsor of the track’s March NASCAR XFINITY Series race. The Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200, a two-year entitlement, will officially kick off the NASCAR XFINITY series at PIR on Saturday, March 14 at 1:00pm local time. Axalta Coating Systems will be the official automotive and industrial paint of PIR. The leading global manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, Axalta has a long history in the racing industry. In addition to being the sponsor of the #24 Axalta Chevy SS, driven by Jeff Gordon, Axalta is also the official paint supplier of Hendrick Motorsports and Stewart-Haas Racing. The primer base coat is also used for JR Motorsports XFINITY cars, Kyle Busch Motorsports XFINITY cars and Kasey Kahne’s dirt track sprint car.(PIR)(2-11-2015)
