When the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in two weeks, the #54 truck team of Kyle Busch Motorsports will have a new leader. Shannon Rursch who joined the organization earlier this year to lead Justin Boston parted ways with the Mooresville, North Carolina following this past Saturday night’s Rhino Linings 350 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, the team confirmed to Catchfence.com Thursday. Boston and Kyle Busch Motorsports separated in early July after KBM noted that Boston’s sponsor ZLOOP failed to maintain its financial agreement with the organization. KBM subsequently filed a lawsuit against ZLOOP for breach of contract. ZLOOP, headquartered in Hickory, North Carolina filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August. Since Boston’s departure, Rursch led dirt track standout Christopher Bell to his first NASCAR win at Eldora Speedway in July. Bell finished 14th at Las Vegas after starting fifth. Eddie Troconis will serve as the new crew chief of the #54 for the final five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this season, the team confirmed. Troconis has been the engineer for crew chief Jerry Baxter at KBM since start of the 2013 season. The two were paired with Darrell Wallace Jr for 2013 and 2014, while they switched to the team’s #51 truck this season with drivers Daniel Suarez, Kyle Busch and Matt Tifft. Troconis will make his debut as crew chief in the Oct. 24 running of the fred’s 250 at Talladega, one of three remaining races with Bell and new sponsor JBL.(Catchfence.com)(10-8-2015)
