Brad Foy to make Truck debut at Martinsville:

Short track late model racer Brad Foy is set to make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut this Saturday at Martinsville Speedway in the Kroger 200. He will be attempting to make the race in the #0 Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing Chevrolet Silverado owned by Kenneth Grimes. Martinsville is close to home for Foy and the Moneta, Virginia driver is extremely excited for this opportunity. “I really want to thank Jennifer and the team for helping make this happen. I’m doing this not only for my love and passion for racing, but for my dad,” said Foy, whose father, Brian, was murdered in his home in May of this year. “He was taken from us 6 months ago”¦ far too soon. I just want to make him proud and race in his memory. It would bring me more joy than I could explain right now. It’s been the worst 6 months of my life since he has been gone.” JJCR owner and driver, Jennifer Jo Cobb, who received an email from Foy several weeks ago, was touched by Foy’s dedication to his father’s memory. “I could feel Brad’s passion through the computer screen. As a small team we can only offer Brad so much, but I assured him if he could cover some minor expenses to make this effort, we would do everything we could to fulfill his dream to make this attempt,” said Cobb. Foy, like Cobb, has funded his own late model efforts since 2009. Both drivers manage with small budgets but never get discouraged because of their passion to race. Cobb will return to Martinsville alongside her new teammate in the #10 Driven2Honor.org Chevy Silverado. Foy is hoping to race more in 2016, but his main goal and focus right now is to make the field and race at Martinsville.(JJCR)(10-26-2015)
