The top 10 finishers earned points under the new scoring system this year. #11-Hamlin’s win earns him 10 points, 10th place #13-Dillon gets 1 point. #96-Kennington was the highest finishing Open Team (non-chartered team), finishing 15th. The other two Open teams: #7-Sadler finishing 16th. #51-Hill went to the garage midway through the race and finished 21st. Kennington raced his way into the race. #7-Sadler gets in the race via his qualifying speed. #51-Hill will not make the race. There were two cautions during the race: one for a competition caution and the second when #48-Johnson cut a tire and hit the wall after contact with #21-Blaney. Johnson will have to go to a backup car for the race.
