Original post: #10-A.J. Allmendinger’s third place finish in Friday night’s Circle K Firecracker 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway was thrown out after the car failed post-race inspection. Allmendinger was moved to 38th place in final results.
The cars of race winner #16-Ross Chastain and #11-Justin Haley both passed.
Details from Xfinity post-race inspection at Daytona: A vacuum check on the No. 10 revealed a discrepancy in the engine of the third-finishing car. When improperly sealed near the spacer, it allows more air through.
