- Bellator MMA joins Monster & NASCAR for race fight series: Bellator MMA announces a partnership with Monster Energy and NASCAR to showcase a series of fights to take place at select races during the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. For the first time in NASCAR history, mixed martial arts will be included as a pre-race activation for the fans in attendance and just like the action the cars bring on the racetrack, Bellator will bring the same excitement inside the cage.[More](4-3-2017)
- Entry List for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway is posted, 40 teams/drivers [for 40 spots] are listed.
36 teams with Charters are guaranteed to make the field. The rest need to make the field via qualifying / qualifying races / rules book (owners attempts/points).

Since only 40 cars are entered, all drivers will make the race.

- McMurray wrecks at Martinsville: He discussed why the team did not pit before a blown tire put him out for the day. “if the smoke hadn’t gotten lighter I would have pitted, but it was smoking really bad and I’m like we have to pit.
