Rick Ware Racing Owner Rick Ware said the shutdown of racing due to the coronavirus pandemic has “dramatically complicated things” from a financial standpoint, as his NASCAR Cup Series teams probably will “lose $600,000-800,000 in sponsorship.” Appearing on SiriusXM yesterday, Ware said, “Some of our sponsorship revolves around the social media, the amount of TV time, the way sponsors leverage. Some of it is, they’re regional or franchise companies, so they bring in a handful of people and use it to do some light hospitality.” Ware said the team “had really decent sponsors” on its cars.
