- Drivers tackle Charlotte ROVAL in Goodyear tire test: Under clear skies and warm temperatures similar to what they’ll expect in September, four of NASCAR’s top drivers shook down the ROVAL™, Charlotte Motor Speedway’s road course oval, in a Goodyear tire test on Tuesday. The high-speed trial runs around Charlotte’s 2.28-mile road course oval served as valuable experience for drivers making preparations for the Sept. 28-30 Bank of America 500, the first playoff road course race in NASCAR history.[More](5-1-2018)

Since only 38 cars are entered, all drivers will make the race.

- World Wide Technology joins Richard Petty Motorsports for six races: Richard Petty Motorsports and World Wide Technology (WWT), a market-leading technology solution provider, announced today an official partnership, naming World Wide Technology the Technology and Analytics Partner of Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM). As part of the new partnership, WWT will provide data analytics consulting and technology solutions to help improve team performance for Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. and the No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 team.
