UPDATE: The NASCAR Cup Series playoffs from Kansas averaged a 1.3 rating and 2.11 million viewers on NBCSN last Sunday, the lowest for the fall edition of the race since at least 2000 and 2001, respectively. Ratings and viewership fell 16% from last year (1.5, 2.51M) and 37% and 36% respectively from 2019 (2.0, 3.30M), when the race aired on broadcast. The race was the final scheduled Cup Series race on NBCSN, which is shutting down at the end of the year.
The corresponding Xfinity Series race chipped in a 0.8 and 1.31 million on NBC the previous day.
ORIGINAL POST 10-26-2021: NBCSN earned a 1.26 rating for Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, with a total of 2.105 million viewers.
Compared to 2020, the Kansas playoff race saw a decrease in viewership (2.511 millions), though that event was on NBC.
The NASCAR race at Kansas had nearly one million more viewers than the Formula One race at Circuit of The Americas, which earned a 0.72 rating with 1.225 million viewers.
