Carl Edwards Says Next Gen Car Interests Him; Not Making a Comeback in 2022

When appearing on SiriusXM NASCAR radio earlier this week, Carl Edwards said the Cup Series’ movement to the Next Gen car is interesting, and likes the direction of moving to higher horsepower and lower downforce.

But Edwards also made it clear he isn’t planning on making a return to the driver’s seat anytime soon.

Edwards said, “If you’re asking me if I’m going to come drive a car this year, the answer is no.”
