Josh Bilicki Competing for DGM Racing at Daytona

By Dustin Albino

DGM Racing has hired Josh Bilicki to compete for the team in the season opening NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

Bilicki, who will run the majority of the Cup Series season with Spire Motorsports, will pilot the No. 36 Chevrolet for DGM at Daytona. The team will have sponsorship from Zeigler Automotive Group, which is sponsoring him in the Cup Series, and Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts.

“Starting the new race season at Daytona is always a very important piece to the puzzle, so I am very excited to be joining DGM Racing in their No. 36 Chevrolet Camaro,” Bilicki said in a statement. “While it will be my first time with the organization, I am familiar with the team and how strong they have run at superspeedways in the past.”

Of the team’s 23 top-10 efforts, six have come on superspeedways, led by Josh Williams’ seventh-place finish in the fall Talladega race in 2020. In the 2020 season opener, Alex Labbe, former driver of the No. 36 car, rounded out the top 10.

Bilicki joins Kyle Weatherman and Mason Massey as the team’s driver lineup for Daytona.
