Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) announced today that Progressive Insurance® will serve as the primary sponsor of Denny Hamlin’s No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for 24 NASCAR Cup Series races in 2027, including the 69th running of the DAYTONA 500 on Sunday, February 21, 2027.
The Hamlin-Progressive sponsorship has been extremely successful on and off the track since debuting in March 2025. In its first season, Hamlin piloted the No. 11 Progressive Toyota to three wins in 2025 on the way to a runner-up finish in the final standings. This season, Hamlin has carried the Progressive colors to a pair of wins in the NASCAR All-Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway and at Nashville Superspeedway.
Off the track in 2026, Progressive featured Hamlin in a pair of commercial spots – Story Time and Victory Celebration. Hamlin also participated in Progressive’s first ever Reddit AMA this summer. Additionally, Hamlin visited with Progressive agents in Cleveland in May and other agents at the company’s New to Blue event in Boston in September. Recently, Hamlin and Progressive teamed up to fulfill a teacher’s Amazon Wish List and to donate $10,000 to Lanier Elementary School in Gainesville, Georgia, as the NASCAR superstar surprised students with an in-class visit.
“Progressive is an incredible sponsor, and we are excited to have them with us for so many races in 2027,” said Hamlin. “It has truly been a perfect pairing on and off the racetrack, and I have enjoyed getting to know and interact with so many members of the Progressive team. Plus, the blue car with the huge Progressive P on the hood is a staple of NASCAR races now, and I am proud to be the one behind the wheel representing them.”
Beyond the DAYTONA 500, Hamlin’s No. 11 Toyota will feature the Progressive livery for regular season races at EchoPark Speedway (February 28), Circuit of the Americas (March 7), Phoenix Raceway (March 14), Bristol Motor Speedway (April 11), Talladega Superspeedway (April 25), Dover Motor Speedway (May 16), the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway (May 23), Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 30), Nashville Superspeedway (June 6), Michigan International Speedway (June 20), Chicagoland Speedway (June 27), Iowa Speedway (July 4), Indianapolis Motor Speedway (July 25), World Wide Technology Raceway (August 22), and Daytona International Speedway (August 28).
Progressive will be on board the No. 11 Toyota for eight of the 10 Chase races at Watkins Glen International (September 19), New Hampshire Motor Speedway (September 26), Las Vegas Motor Speedway (October 10), Charlotte Motor Speedway (October 17), Phoenix Raceway (October 24), Talladega Superspeedway (October 31), Martinsville Speedway (November 7), and Homestead-Miami Speedway (November 14).
“There are partnerships that look good on paper, and then there are partnerships that genuinely click,” said Mari Pumarejo, CMO of Progressive. “From seeing Denny behind the wheel in Progressive blue to the relationships we’ve built with him and the entire Joe Gibbs Racing team, this one is special. We’ve found so much common ground between our brands, our culture, our values, and really become part of each other’s teams. As we head into our third year together, Denny doesn’t just represent Progressive on race day, he’s part of the Progressive family, and we look forward to what 2027 will bring.”
Hamlin is currently ranked third in the NASCAR Cup Series Chase standings entering the season finale this Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Next year will be his 22nd full-time season in the Cup Series. The Virginia native is ninth on the all-time wins list with 64 victories, including four so far this season. His resume also includes three DAYTONA 500 wins and additional crown jewel victories in the Southern 500 (2010, 2017, 2021) and the Coca-Cola 600 (2022).
“It is a thrill for us to have Progressive continue their partnership with us next season,” said Joe Gibbs, Owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “Their team has done a great job finding creative ways to activate and grow their program each year. From their commercials and billboards to hosting community events and at-track experiences, I know our team really enjoys working alongside them to meet their goals. It is going to be exciting to have them back with our 11 team again.”
