Team Reaume announces that veteran driver Timmy Hill will compete full-time in the 2027 NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series, piloting the No. 2 Ford 150.
The move marks an exciting next chapter for Hill as he joins Team Reaume and Ford Racing to focus on competing for the full 2027 season.
Hill brings a deep background as both a driver and former team owner. He founded Hill Motorsports in 2019 and competed as an owner-driver in the Truck Series, fielding the No. 56 – the same number his father, former NASCAR driver Jerry Hill, carried during his career. He now channels that experience into full-time driving with Team Reaume.
A native of Port Tobacco, Maryland, Hill was born on February 25, 1993, into a racing family that includes his father, Jerry, and his brother, Tyler Hill. He claimed the 2009 Allison Legacy Series championship and went on to earn 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year honors. Since then, he has built one of the most versatile résumés in the garage, with experience across the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series (now the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series), the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and ARCA competition. In the Truck Series, Hill has collected 10 career top 10 finishes and posted a career-best 20th-place points finish in 2022.
“I’m excited to take this next step and race full-time with Team Reaume in 2027,” said Hill. “I’ve watched Reaume’s program grow, and I believe they have all the tools to compete with the larger team’s week in and week out. I’m excited to bring my veteran experience and help push this team forward.”
Hill’s experience as both a driver and a team owner makes him a valuable resource across the organization’s three trucks. He will work closely with the team’s driver lineup, sharing what he’s learned across years of national series competition and helping the organization’s younger drivers continue their development.
“Timmy and I go back to 2014, when we first raced together as teammates,” said Team Owner Josh Reaume. “Over the past few years, our friendship has grown in a way I never expected. We’ve both run our own teams, and we’ve leaned on each other through the same challenges that come with being an owner in this sport. I’m honored that the Hill family recognizes the growth of this team and trusts that we’re better working together, and I’m proud to welcome Timmy to Team Reaume for 2027.”
“We’re putting all our chips on the table for 2027. Our goal is to take this program’s performance to the next level, and adding Timmy is a big step toward that. He’s one of the most experienced drivers in the series, and the knowledge he brings, both on the track and as a former team owner, will make every truck in our program better,” said Amir Alexander, Team Principal at Team Reaume.
Additional partners and details on Team Reaume’s 2027 program will be announced at a later date.
