Henderson Racing proudly announces its return to Daytona, with Corey LaJoie set to pilot the entry, marking a powerful continuation of the team’s legacy and a determined return to one of motorsports’ most iconic venues.
Henderson Racing’s Daytona Truck entry will be led by Built.com along with Alliance Driveaway Solutions and Kingdom Truck Sales.
The Daytona announcement carries deep significance for the family-owned organization, which is now co-owned by founder Charlie Henderson’s children, Don Henderson and Debbie Henderson-Creasy, as they continue to lead the team forward while honoring its roots.
In last year’s Daytona event, Henderson Racing crossed the finish line first with Parker Kligerman behind the wheel. That victory was later revoked following post-race inspection, with NASCAR citing an illegal ride-height measurement. Despite a formal appeal, the ruling stood and the win was not reinstated.
“We won that race on the track,” said Debbie Henderson-Creasy, co-owner of Henderson Racing. “We went through the appeal process. We respected the decision. But that experience stays with you—and it fuels you.”
Shortly after that event, the team faced another defining moment with the passing of founder Charlie Henderson last June. Questions surrounded whether the organization could continue. Henderson Racing ultimately finished the season as planned, honoring both its commitments and the legacy Charlie Henderson built.
“My dad believed in finishing what you start,” Henderson-Creasy added. “He taught us resilience & grit.”
The team’s Daytona effort will be led by driver Corey LaJoie, a proven superspeedway competitor known for his ability to run up front and contend late at Daytona. LaJoie has previously challenged for victory in the closing laps of the Daytona 500, including a top-five finish on the sport’s biggest stage.
LaJoie is excited about working with Chris Carrier and the Henderson Team. “It’s been fun putting this deal together for many reasons. First being, Parker is a good friend and it’s cool to put up the baton from him where he left off last year. Debbie Henderson-Creasy and Chris Carrier have the passion to continue Charlie’s legacy with Henderson Motorsports and there’s no better place to do that than the World Center of Racing. Lastly, to involve longtime friends and partners in Built.com as well as Alliance Driveaway really makes it a family outing. Ready to go put the 75 in the wind and see what we’ve got.”
Veteran Crew Chief Chris Carrier will continue calling the shots for Henderson Motorsports.
“This team is moving forward to race competitively at Daytona with great people, great driver, great sponsorship and ownership from great history in this business of stock car racing. I am anxious to see what we can do at Daytona!”
For Henderson Racing, Daytona is both a tribute to the past and a statement about the future—a team still standing, still competing, and still believing.
