Ty Dillon admits he has a tough act to follow.
The 33-year-old will become the second driver in Ram’s Free Agent program when he pilots Kaulig Racing’s No. 25 Ram 1500 on Saturday, Feb. 21, at EchoPark (Atlanta) Speedway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.
Ram’s groundbreaking Free Agent program celebrates its return to NASCAR after a 13-year absence. It launched in Daytona this week with three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart behind the wheel of the No. 25 Ram 1500.
The program spotlights a rotating mix of legendary drivers, rising stars, and free agents each week in 2026, giving fans a blend of experience and new talent in Ram trucks. Ram expects to name the next race’s driver at the preceding truck race.
“Those are some pretty big shoes to fill, taking over from Tony, but I’ll do my best,” said Dillon, who drives the No. 10 for Kaulig Racing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series and will start Sunday’s Daytona 500.
“Atlanta in a truck should be a blast, and we go there with every intention of visiting victory lane. We’ve won the truck race in Atlanta (2012) before, and we would love to win it again.”
Dillon is among the favorites at Atlanta. He has three Truck Series wins — at Atlanta in 2012 and at Kentucky and Texas in 2013 — plus a NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2014.
He’ll have plenty of Ram 1500 teammates in the field.
Kaulig Racing fields five Ram trucks full-time in 2026, underscoring a major investment in NASCAR. The lineup includes Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye, Justin Haley and Timothy “Mini” Tyrrell, who drives the No. 14 after winning Ram’s “Race for the Seat” competition, which aired its final of eight episodes earlier tonight on FS1.
FS1 will televise the 135-lap race in Atlanta at 1:30 p.m. ET.
