Talladega TV ratings

According to Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal, television viewership for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway saw a slight year-over-year decline.

The Jack Link’s 500, which aired Sunday on Fox Sports, delivered a 2.11 Nielsen rating and an average audience of 3.967 million viewers. That figure is down modestly from last year’s event, which drew a 2.18 rating and 4.041 million viewers.

Despite the slight dip in overall audience, viewership peaked at approximately 4.9 million between 6:45 and 7:00 p.m. ET, coinciding with the closing laps of the event.
