Prime Video discusses possibility of additional NASCAR races

Prime Video’s NASCAR coverage has received positive reviews from many fans, leading to questions about whether the streaming service could one day air more Cup Series races. Alex Strand, Prime Video’s senior coordinating producer, addressed that topic in a recent interview with The Athletic.

Jeff Gluck: As mentioned, fans say they would love to see you do more of the season. Is there any chance in the future that you could somehow add more Cup races or an opportunity for that to be on the schedule?

Strand: We’re really happy with our five races and the practice and qualifying early in the year. Every time a (broadcasting) rights cycle comes up, we certainly evaluate what opportunities there are. But for now, for NASCAR with our five races, we’re really excited to do our part — take the baton from Fox, do the best we can with the coverage, and then hand it over to Turner in the best way we can, as well. We hope that rising tide raises all ships, and we just hope we do right by the series for the time that we have it.
