Chase Elliott snags second NASCAR Cup victory at Texas: In an event that spelled disaster for a handful of the NASCAR Cup Series’ established stars, Chase Elliott ran an impeccable race—and was rewarded with victory in Sunday’s Würth 400 Presented by LIQUI MOLY at Texas Motor Speedway. Elliott didn’t lead until Lap 152 of 267, when Corey Heim brought his Toyota to pit road for fuel on an off-cycle strategy. #9-Chase Elliott won the Würth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The win is his second win of the year, second at Texas and 23rd career win.
#11-Denny Hamlin finished 2nd followed by #48-Alex Bowman, #45-Tyler Reddick, #17-Chris Buescher, #7-Daniel Suarez, pole winner #77-Carson Hocevar, #24-William Byron, #23-Bubba Wallace, and #12-Ryan Blaney.
Elliott came on late in the race, winning the second stage and running up front the rest of the time. He led the most laps on the day and overcame a late race caution to win by .4 second.
