The January testing season at Daytona International Speedway was completed on Thursday when NASCAR Busch Series teams wrapped their final day of testing. #43-Jay Sauter was the fastest on the speed chart in the final day of Busch Series testing with a lap of 184.438mph

Progressive Motorsports will have a three car team in 2000(#'s 32,53 and 57). Owner Greg Pollex is presently seeking sponsorship for a fourth team in 2000. If the new deal materializes, Pollex will put Shane Hall, who will leave the #43 Chevy at the end of the season
