#98-Ty Majeski dominated the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway on Friday night, giving him the race win and the series championship. Majeski started from the pole and led 132 of the 150 laps.
Championship contenders #11-Corey Heim and #19-Christian Eckes finished second and third. #2-Nick Sanchez was fourth. The final championship driver, #9-Grant Enfinger, was fifth.
The win was his third of the season, first at Phoenix, and the sixth Truck Series win of his career.
#11-Heim overcame a restart violation with 50 laps remaining. Due to a timely caution, was able to fall to the tailend of the field rather than make a green flag pitstop. He paced the field for 16 laps and won the opening stage.
After watching Majeski and Heim dominate the championship race, #19-Eckes and #9-Enfinger opted to pit under a caution flag on lap 112 for fresh tires. In the end, track position and a lack of a caution flag through the final 27 laps allowed Majeski to drive off with the win.
#17-Taylor Gray, #45-Kaden Honeycutt, #7-Connor Mosack, #99-Ben Rhodes and #38-Layne Riggs closed out the top-10.
There were seven lead changes among three drivers and six cautions for 43 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 86.276 mph.
