#11-Corey Heim won the CRC Brakleen 175 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race on Friday night at Pocono Raceway as the sun set and rain fell. The win was his fifth of the season, first at Pocono, and the 10th Truck Series win of his career.
The race had two red flag periods due to rain within the final eight laps. With no lights at Pocono, NASCAR battled the rain and daylight. With only a drizzle on track and jet driers running, the racing surface was never “lost,” and a quick turnaround allowed the field to run the scheduled 175 miles.
#11-Heim dominated the race, sweeping the stages and leading 55 of the 70 laps. As he did his victory burnout, rain again began to fall.
#9-Grant Enfinger finished second.
#19-Christian Eckes started from the pole after rain knocked out qualifying earlier in the day, led 11 laps, and finished third.
#17-Taylor Gray and #45-Ross Chastain closed out the top-five.
#77-Chase Purdy, #52-Stewart Friesen, #88-Matt Crafton, #5-Dean Thompson, #71-Rajah Caruth were the remainder of the top-10.
There were three lead changes among three drivers and four cautions for 17 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 113.269mph.
