After speeding on pit road earlier in the race, #54-Ty Gibbs rebounded to take the lead with 10 laps to go en route to the victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ Kansas Lottery 300. It’s Gibbs’ fourth win in 17 career starts.
#22-Austin Cindric finished second, holding off #16-AJ Allmendinger, who had fresher tires late in the race. #11-Justin Haley salvaged a fourth-place finish, after spending much of the afternoon outside the top 10. #39-Ryan Sieg rounded out the top five, earning his first top-five finish since Talladega in April.
#02-Brett Moffitt put on fresh tires late to finish sixth. Meanwhile, #1-Michael Annett, #8-Sam Mayer, #7-Justin Allgaier and #2-Myatt Snider made up the rest of the top 10.
Playoff drivers #9-Noah Gragson and #20-Harrison Burton were caught up in a three-car wreck with 20 laps to go, which started when Mayer tagged the left rear quarter panel of Burton.
Allmendinger won the opening stage, while Cindric earned 10 points by winning the second stage. Each driver have 11 stage wins on the season.
There were 19 lead changes among six drivers and 10 cautions for 46 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 112.641 mph.
