  • Bobby Labonte Joins Tommy Baldwin Racing for the Brickyard 400: 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Bobby Labonte joins Tommy Baldwin Racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 this weekend. Labonte will be piloting the #37 Chey, sponsored by Accell Construction. Accell Construction has been a partner of Tommy Baldwin Racing since 2009 and acts as a primary sponsor on the #7 of Michael Annett for six races throughout the year. "I am excited to have Bobby Labonte come on board this weekend at Indy," team owner Tommy Baldwin said. "Bobby and I are good friends, and I know that his experience both on and off the track will bring a lot of great information to everyone at Tommy Baldwin Racing. I'm looking forward to seeing the impact Bobby will have, and great Brickyard 400."
    "I am thankful for the opportunity given to me by Tommy, getting to run my 21st race at the Brickyard means a lot to me," said Labonte. "Jeff Gordon and I are the only active drivers to run all the races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and I am glad to continue that quest with TBR."(TBR), this will be Labonte's 3rd Cup start of 2013. He ran the Daytona 500 in the #52 HScott Motorsports Chevy and at Daytona in July, running the #33 Thunder Coal Chevy for Circle Sport.   • New spotter at Tommy Baldwin Racing: Doug Campbell, of Berlin, CT, provided the "eyes in the sky" this season as Millis teen Tommy Barrett Jr. tore up the Valenti Modified Racing Series. Along the way, the duo became friends with former NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour team owner Mario Fiore, of Agawam. Using Fiore's many connections in NASCAR, Campbell landed a chance to spot for #37-J.J. Yeley at three Sprint Cup races (New Hampshire, Dover, Charlotte) this past fall. On Thursday, Fiore revealed via Facebook that Campbell, 20, had received a more permanent position. Campbell confirmed that beginning with testing at Daytona International Speedway in January, he will be spotting for Tommy Baldwin Racing, which fielded cars last season for #36-Dave Blaney and #10-David Reutimann. The relationship will continue through Speedweeks in February. Campbell is preparing for his move to North Carolina.(Republican)(12-16-2012)

Chevy this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway as the team's primary sponsor. The Louisiana-based company was an associate partner for Dave Blaney and the #36 Tommy Baldwin Racing Chevy earlier this season at Martinsville Speedway. C & C Audio, Video and Appliance, founded in 1975, is one of the largest home-owned and -operated TV and appliance dealers in Louisiana. The company is run based on principles that were established in 1975: Quality Products, Reasonable Prices, and Service Before and After the Sale. "We are thrilled to support J.J. and promote our business to NASCAR's loyal fans," said C & C Audio, Video and Appliance Owner Roger LeBlanc.   • Yeley in the #36 at Dover: The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) will team up with Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) at Dover International Speedway Sunday, September 30 to remind NASCAR fans to 'Drive Sober' with a special paint scheme and a full weekend of activities. J.J. Yeley will pilot the #36 Drive Sober. Arrive Alive DE Chevrolet in the AAA 400. The OHS is committed to developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy aimed at saving lives and preventing injuries on Delaware highways. The advertising program at Dover International Speedway is part of their education and outreach activities in the community to promote safe driving. The OHS chose to promote the 'Drive Sober' campaign during the race weekend because data shows that 81% of impaired drivers causing fatal crashes in Delaware are males, 36% of alcohol-related fatal accidents occur on Fridays and Saturdays, and fatalities in September doubled between 2010 and 2011. Delaware conducts DUI checkpoints every weekend from July to December as part of Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign. The goal of Checkpoint Strikeforce is to stop impaired driving throughout Delaware. The Phoenix, Ariz., native made 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) and seven NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) starts at the mile track. He collected two top-10 finishes and two top-five starts in the NNS. He tallied a best NSCS start of 14th in the Spring 2006 event and a best NSCS finish of 24th in the Spring 2008 event. TBR made eight starts at Dover International Speedway. Dave Blaney posted the team's best finish of 26th in the Spring 2011 event. "We are happy to have the OHS on board for Dover and J.J. in the car," said TBR Owner Tommy Baldwin. "The OHS is promoting a very important campaign in safe driving. They will have a good footprint at the track, including an exhibit where fans can drive tricycles while wearing impairment goggles. We love working with J.J.     UPDATE: Max Q Motorsports (MQM) Owner Larry Gunselman announced that MQM and Tommy Baldwin Racing have formed a technical alliance. J.J. Yeley will be the driver of the MQM #37 entry effective immediately. "Max Q has been trying to put itself in position get back into the 'Cup series and be competitive," explained Gunselman. "Tommy and I got to talking and he explained where he want his program to go. He would like to build his program like the Hendrick, RCR and Roush teams by selling cars and engineering to make their program better, and that is something that I been looking to do to get my program to the next level." TBR competed with two teams this season in the NSCS. The team, formed in 2009, also started a NASCAR Nationwide team this season, running a partial schedule. "The only way we are going to get better is to be able to get our product out there more and have different people working on it," Tommy Baldwin said.
