Here is some info on BGNN driver Andy Santerre from Hal Furrow, the Saturday night announcer at Speedway 95 in Bangor, Maine. Andy Santerre got his start here at this track and was successful in the pro stock ranks here until he moved to the Busch North series. This past saturday night, Andy was here driving in the pro truck series tour(he’s not a regular) and he told me in the garage area that they were moving to charlotte and that they were going to the #36 BGN team. An official announcement should be made within two weeks. Ricky Craven offered him a job to drive the #2 Raybestos car, but Andy figured the Team 34 ride was the best deal. This young man is very fan friendly and with the kind of backing of Stanley Tools can provide combined with his driving skills Andy will be very very competitive, by the way he won the pro truck race on Saturday night(7-29-97)
