Bobby Hillin announced on RPM2Nite that St. Louis Cardinals slugger, Mark McGwire has joined the team as a part owner of Hillin’s #8 BGN team. On the back of the car the team will keep weekly tabs on McGwires home run total’s and his attempt to hit 62 home runs and break the season record of 61 by Roger Maris. Also Nabisco has come aboard as a sponsor and will do some promotions on the car in conjunction with McGwires home run assault. No word on which Nabisco products will be part of the promotion.(RPM2Nite) McGwire celebrated the announcement by hitting three(3) home runs against my beloved Phillies.(5-19-98)
