Kyle Petty blew an engine during practice for the Bud at the Glen and had to change engines for qualifying; Bobby Labonte got in that oil and wrecked his primary #18 Interstate Batteries Pontiac and had to go out late in qualifying in his back-up car; Bill Elliott got out of shape during 1st round qualifying and didn’t complete the lap, will have to try 2nd round qualifying.(ESPN2 Qualifying) (08-07-1998)
