Bobby Labonte was treated with oxygen following the event after he suffered bouts of nausea and headaches due to a hole in the fresh air hose going to his helmet. Despite a destroyed race car, a broken drive shaft, a badly bruised hand and the broken hose over the course of the weekend, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver managed to finished tenth after taking a provisional to make the field and advanced from sixth to fifth in the point standings.( GoRacing ) (08-10-1998)
