The inaugural Metro Detroit Ford Dealers “Ford Fan Appreciation Day” is set for August 12, 1998 from 4 – 8pm/et, at the Michigan State Fair Grounds. NASCAR Winston Cup drivers Brett Bodine, Dale Jarrett, Bill Elliott, Kenny Irwin Jr., Rick Mast, Dick Trickle, Michael Waltrip, and Rusty Wallace are scheduled to appear at the event.
