The Southern 500 is the fourth of the five Winston No Bull 5 races this season, so the top-five finishers will qualify for a shot to win $1 million in the Winston 500 on Oct. 10 at Talladega. The five-race bonus program was originated to help recognize NASCAR’s 50th anniversary season, but look for it to return next year. Do not, however, look for the same five races to be the ones where the bonus is up for grabs.
