Following the crash at Talladega, Skinner’s crew was penalized (held in the “penalty box”) for what a team member described as “being violent to the wrecker crew.” A scuffle apparently occurred when the crashed car arrived back in the garage area(It was even showed on TV). What actually occurred was that the driver of the wrecker inadvertently damaged the nose of Skinner’s wrecked Chevrolet while towing it back to the garage. The penalty ended up being two laps, the source being NASCAR timing and scoring, and Skinner finished 36th( SpeedNet/Monte Dutton )
