the headline from the ABC News site: “Hundreds of passengers were stranded on cruise ships in the Bahamas, Mexico and Canada today after creditors seized control of the beleaguered Premier Cruise Lines company.” What does this have to do with NASCAR you ask? Because, Premier Cruise Lines, is the The Cruise Line of NASCAR (see the NOL Story), as promoted on their site. So just in case folks didn’t know, I have heard there were a few “NASCAR Themed” cruises that were to sail in the next weeks including the original Alabama Gang for a special Legends of NASCAR cruise on the Big Red Boat on September 18 and supposedly a “Wallace Brother’s” Cruise. So folks with plans with Premier may wish to contact them or your travel agent(the ABC News story says Officials at Premier, based in Cape Canaveral, FL, did not return telephone calls, but there is a voice message.(9-15-2000)
