Look for John Madden to be part of the Fox Daytona 500 telecast in February. Madden, Fox’s lead NFL analyst, said that as soon as Fox was awarded half of the Winston Cup package starting next year, he was asked by network officials to be involved in the telecast. Fox is expected to announce after the World Series that Mike Joy will anchor its NASCAR telecasts. Joy has called the last several Daytona 500s for CBS. Joining Joy on the Fox telecasts will be retiring driver Darrell Waltrip and crew chiefs Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond(That’s Racin’)(10-19-2000)
