Ads almost sold out: TNT and NBC have jointly sold 85 percent of the on-air sponsorship entitlements to their NASCAR Winston Cup coverage, the companies announced Monday evening. NBC and TNT, which will cover 20 NASCAR Cup races, have sold entitlements in 11 of the events so far. Among advertisers signed as title sponsors for other upcoming auto races on the circuit are Tropicana, Mountain Dew, General Motors Corp.s Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pennzoil-Quaker State Co., The Pep Boys and Applebees International Inc.(TV Insite)(6-5-2001)
