New Motorsports PR company: Daniel Skahen, former managing director of Primedia has announced the launch of his own full-service advertising, marketing and public relations firm. The agency will operate under the name C2R Communications with offices in Norcross, GA. C2R is an acronym for concept-to-reality. Former Primedia employees Marty South, Pete Galbiati, Albert Bloser, Jennifer Nowicki and Alia Cory have also joined C2Rs staff. The same team was instrumental in coordinating and producing the 1999 and 2000 NASCAR Image Campaigns, the 2000 NASCAR The Race Is On campaign, as well as various promotions and public relations support for DAYTONA USA, Steve Dale Motorsports, The Richard Petty Driving Experience, Seagram Americas, Frito-Lay and PEPSI. The agency will be owned in part by JDC Marketing Group, an outdoor sports presence and marketing management company also located in Norcross, GA. JDC Marketing Group was instrumental in trying to arrange the sponsorship between Crown Royal and Eel River Racing.
