UPDATE 2 Larry Mac?: hearing Petty Enterprises (#’s 43, 44, 45 and #43 CTS team) has parted ways with some of it’s engineering staff and that Larry MacReynolds (Fox Broadcaster) is considering working with the team when the Fox part of the TV deal is up after Sears Point(June 24th)(5-29-2001) UPDATE: while hearing there were some personnel changes in the engineering staff are true, have been told by some the part about Larry MacReynold’s coming to PE is not true and others say yes, as a consultant(5-30-2001) UPDATE 2: Ex-crew chief Larry McReynolds says he’ll be back in action in somebody’s shop in July after his tour as a Fox TV commentator ends. “But I’m not going to be a crew chief,” McReynolds said, “because I don’t think that would be fair to a race team to walk in and say, ‘OK, here I am, and I’ll be your crew chief the next five months, but then I’m leaving.’ “But I’m definitely going to do something. If I can go in and help a race team and give them some feedback and keep my hand in it, that would be my goal.” McReynolds says the no-compete clause in his contract with Richard Childress “has been worked out. We’re good there. I can do anything I want, except to broadcast with another network.”(Winston Salem Journal)(6-12-2001)
