Stewart to quit? Unlikely: rumor….#20-Tony Stewart, unhappy about being forced to wear a head-and-neck restraint system by NASCAR, will quit Joe Gibbs and go back to open-wheel cars running the IRL series for Ganassi with maybe a few Winston Cup races thrown in. So far, the IRL has not made head-and-neck restraints mandatory, and the IRL’s premier event is the Indy 500, a race Stewart wants to win above all others.
