Gordon Divorce update: Jeff Gordon has asked that his estranged wife and anyone involved in his divorce be compelled to sign a confidentiality agreement. Gordon contended that his employment is “highly competitive” and much of his financial information requires confidentiality, according to court documents filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. Gordon wants to protect trade secrets, research and commercial information from becoming public during his divorce from Jennifer Brooke Sealey Gordon, the documents show. The confidentiality order would continue even after the divorce is final. Circuit Judge Peter Blanc will decide in a hearing next month if the court’s proceedings must remain confidential. A person at the family division of the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts said that a notice for a June 10 confidentiality hearing was filed on May 2. (USA Today/AP)(5-10-2002)
