Theres a possibility Brewco Motorsports drivers #37-Jeff Purvis and #27-Jamie McMurray will be behind the wheel of something other than Chevys next season. Frustrated with a lack of support from General Motors, team owner Clarence Brewer has had brief talks with a couple of other manufacturers. The Central City, Ky.-based owner says he wont decide on which make to run in 2003 until hes had the chance to explore all the avenues. Brewco also gave serious consideration to changing his fleet to Dodges for this year, and is now in the process of taking a Chevrolet, Dodge and Pontiac to the wind tunnel in conjunction with Bill Davis Racing. If and when a change is made, it probably wont take place this season, according to Brewer and team president Todd Wilkerson.(Winston Cup Scene – need sub to read)(5-16-2002)
