Sad News: Delaware Speedway Truck division competitor Stan Harborne of Chatham died last night (May 18, 2002) at London Health Sciences Centre. After a single vehicle incident at Delaware Speedway during the Truck division feature race, track emergency personnel attended to Harborne until he was transported to hospital by Provincial ambulance. The incident is being investigated by Ontario Provincial Police. An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death. Harborne, age 61, was in his second year of competition at Delaware Speedway. Another news release will be forthcoming as further information becomes available.(5-21-2002)
