TV in the 2nd half of the season: Speed Channel will broadcast up to 11 Winston Cup qualifying sessions and 12 final practice [Happy Hour] sessions in the second half of this season, taking the place of the CNN/SI cable network that carried that programming last season. The CNN/SI cable network went off the air earlier this month, so Speed Channel will take on the coverage during the NBC-Turner Sports portion of the Winston Cup season that does not air on Turner’s networks.
