NASCAR officials announced today that Robert Bakeeff, crew chief of the #19 Chevy in the BGN, has been fined $1,000 for a rule violation discovered during post-qualifying inspection at Sunday’s race at The Milwaukee Mile. Bakeeff was penalized under Section 12-4-Q in the 2002 NASCAR Busch Series rule book, “Any determination by NASCAR Officials that parts and/or equipment used in the Event do not conform to NASCAR rules.” Officials found an unapproved front spring in the car, after the team’s qualifying attempt.(NASCAR PR)(7-2-2002)
