Denny Kleier, 40, of Florence, was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night after his race car collided with a competitor’s car at the crossing point on a figure 8 track one of three at the speedway. The accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. at the racetrack on Kentucky 42, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
