ARCA Driver can’t race at Chicago:

StockCarScene.com is reporting that 17 year-old Shelby Howard, who currently sits 6th in ARCA points, will not compete at Chicagoland on September 7th. The race weekend, which features the IRL, is sponsored by Marlboro. As part of a deal between tobacco companies and state attorney generals, a person must have reached the age of 18 in order to participate in a sporting event that is sponsored by a tobacco company. The same clause kept then 16 year old Kyle Busch from competing in a CTS race at California in 2001. No word if the team will compete with a replacement driver.(StockCarScene)(8-19-2002)
