Newman became the third driver to record his first career victory at NHIS, joining Joe Nemechek(1999) and Robbie Gordon(2001). #97-Kurt Busch ended up 2nd in a race shortened to 207 laps (of 300). #6-Mark Martin takes over the Winston Cup points lead, 6 points over #40-Sterling Marlin who had led the points since Rockingham in Feb.
